MVP Impact Stories

At CERCLE, we believe strong early childhood systems start with the people who care for young children every day.
Our Full Circle MVP stories highlight what happens when educators are supported as leaders, partners, and entrepreneurs in their communities.
These stories show how collaboration, shared resources, and community partnerships can strengthen early childhood programs and improve learning experiences for children.

Norma Stennett
Norma Stennett has spent years building a program rooted in care, expertise, and high expectations for children. That commitment led to a historic milestone: her Bridgeport-based program, Scholastic Renaissance LLC, became the first family child care program in Connecticut to receive Recognition status from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Norma’s journey reveals what it takes to raise the bar for family child care — and why supporting providers matters for families and communities alike.

Dellon Singh
Running a child care center takes creativity, persistence, and the right support. For Dellon Singh, owner of Occupational Fun Edu-Daycare, collaboration through CERCLE Collab helped unlock new possibilities for her classroom.
With support from the Community Fund for Women and Girls, Dellon gained access to resources that transformed her learning environment, giving the children in her care new opportunities to explore and grow.
Her story shows how community support can ripple outward to benefit educators, families, and young learners.

Why These Stories Matter
Behind every policy conversation about child care are educators, families, and communities working every day to create safe, nurturing spaces for young children.
The Full Circle MVP stories highlight the leadership, dedication, and innovation of providers across our network and the impact that collaboration and support can have on early childhood education in Connecticut.
As the CERCLE community continues to grow, we will continue sharing the stories of the educators and partners helping build stronger systems for children and families.
