


Hope For New Haven and CERCLE have partnered with the City of New Haven to make grant funds available to the early care and education (ECE) industry.
Through a City initiative called the Early Childhood Recovery and Innovation Project, $1.6 million of ARPA funding have been made available over the next three years to strengthen the ECE workforce in New Haven.

Projects Supported Through Grant Funding
Grant funding supports targeted initiatives that strengthen the ECE workforce, advance professional qualifications and improve program quality. Funded projects include:

Accreditation and quality-improvement initiatives, including progress toward NAFCC accreditation.

Structured support for educators to earn Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials, including instruction, peer learning and guided completion.

ECE training programs and continuing education aligned with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Engagement of education, health and social work consultants to support program quality and staff well-being.

Leadership development and career pathway initiatives supporting progression to senior and head teacher roles.

Recruitment, training and development of new ECE professionals to expand and stabilize the workforce.
